Joined Nova Southeastern Men's Soccer as an Assistant Coach in Fall 2025, Perez brings a diverse background of collegiate, academy, and club coaching experience from across the country. Concurrently, he works with Fort Lauderdale FC Academy, continuing his commitment to player development and the advancement of young athletes in South Florida.
During the summer of 2025, Perez served as Assistant Coach for Asheville City SC in the USL W League, helping guide the club to the USL W National Semifinals while maintaining the No. 1 national ranking for the majority of the season. His collegiate coaching journey includes serving as Head Coach at Warren Wilson College, Assistant Coach at the University of Pikeville, Volunteer Assistant Coach at Barry University, and Graduate Assistant Coach at the University of Charleston.
Beyond the collegiate ranks, he has gained extensive club coaching experience with Boston City FC (USL2/NISA Nation), Miami United FC, Florida Soccer Soldiers, and Palm Beach Stars. His deep involvement in the South Florida and Miami soccer communities has allowed him to make a significant impact through collegiate programs, academy systems, club environments, and individual player development initiatives.
As a former student-athlete, he played collegiately at Barry University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Applied Sport & Exercise Science, before continuing his playing career at the University of Charleston and earning a master's degree in Strategic Leadership. He also competed at various levels of the American soccer pyramid, including USL League Two, the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), and the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL), where he enjoyed successful seasons with clubs in both South Florida and North Carolina.
With experience spanning coaching, player development, recruiting, and competitive success at multiple levels of the game, he continues to build a reputation as a dedicated coach committed to developing high-performing teams and helping players reach their full potential.
